Hi, I’m Taylor and like many of us, I’m getting older everyday. How’s that for tough love.
But, rather than just watch the days go by, I’ve decided to record them. Mainly because one day, when I’m even older, I’ll probably end up forgetting some of them. But also as a way to add a degree of accountability to how I’m spending my time.
…It also just so happens that, as I write this at least, I’m almost 29 years old and I want to make sure that I’ve done some special things by the time I’m 30. I’m not really worried about that milestone, but enough people make a big enough deal out of it to make me wonder if my nonchalance about it is a good idea. What if I do get to 30, take a look on the other side of the fence and see that, golly gosh, the grass isn’t greener?! I have a sneaking suspicion that’s not going to be the case but I’m what I like to call an ‘optimistic realist’ and, just sometimes, a ‘realistic optimist’.
#project20nine is my account of the final 364 days of being a 20-something. At best it will be a cautionary/inspiring tale of one interpretation of How to Make the Most of a Year and, at the very least, just some guy’s diary. But hey, at least it’ll be my diary.
